CoolMagic™ Gel Sheets |
 PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION
A sterile, hydrogel polymer sheet consisting of 89.5%
water in a 10.5% cross-linked polyethylene oxide matrix.
It is backed with an inert low- density film that controls
water vapor transmission during storage and makes the
gel easy to handle. It provides a cooling effect, is
hydrophilic, and will absorb at least three times its
weight in blood, serum, or water.
BENEFITS

Is
semi-permeable and absorbs wound fluids into
the dressing and away from the skin (3 times
its weight in drainage) avoiding maceration
of good tissue, therefore, the dressing does not
have to be cut to fit the wound.

wet feel on intact skin when removed.

High
capacity for absorbing heat provides
a rapid
cooling/ soothing effect on “hot skin”
which may be helpful in relieving pain, itching
and soreness. May be refrigerated for maximum
effect. Can be used to cover RadiaPlex™ Gel,
Regenecare, OraMagic Patch or other moist wound dressings.
INDICATIONS
Management of non-infected 1st and 2nd degree burns,
including radiation dermatitis
